Senior Class of 2020
Virtual Graduation Celebration
Although we had intended to celebrate graduation with a traditional, in-person ceremony at our school, a lot has happened over the past two months, including the continued social distancing directive in response to COVID-19. As a result we have had to change our plans.
After much consideration for the safety and wellness of all, OSD will celebrate graduation virtually. This event will be made up of video and audio presentations, well-wishes, and celebrations. We will have a graduation celebration with a live watch party on June 4 (time TBD) so that students and families can celebrate together. Plans for a traditional, live graduation will be considered once we return to campus.
We realize that a non-traditional graduation is disappointing to our students and families. Graduation marks the culmination of many years of hard work, and everyone wants to celebrate together. The faculty and staff are disappointed as well and hope we can do this in the future. However, for our virtual celebration, OSD faculty and staff have a memorable event planned that will highlight each graduate in a new, exciting way.
